Lab values do not interpret themselves. ChironAI recognises the canonical patterns — sepsis screen, AKI, thyroid panel, lipid panel, electrolyte panel, hepatic function panel, the standard CBC and BMP combinations — and produces the interpretation alongside the reference-range adjustment for the patient’s demographic context (age, sex, pregnancy status, race-corrected where the literature supports it, race-blind where the consensus has moved against race-correction).

What the platform actually does.

   ~10 canonical lab-pattern recognitions covering the highest-frequency clinical evaluations.

   Reference-range adjustment is explicit and context-aware (age, sex, pregnancy, gestational stage, post-partum).

   Race-corrected calculations are flagged when used; race-blind calculations are flagged when the consensus has moved against correction.

   Critical-value detection: results that cross critical thresholds are surfaced to the top of the panel with explicit critical-value framing for immediate clinician attention.

   The clinician interprets; the platform surfaces the pattern and the reference frame.
