Questions and answers

Is Chiron a doctor?
No. Chiron is artificial intelligence. It provides decision support and drafts for review; it is not a physician, holds no medical licence, and does not diagnose, treat or give medical or legal advice. Every AI result carries a disclosure that it is AI-generated decision support requiring review by a licensed professional, and once per sign-in Chiron reminds each user that a licensed clinician remains responsible for every decision.
Who signs?
The physician. Reports, determinations, opinions, prescriptions and declarations are signed by the treating or evaluating physician, and Chiron never signs or files a medical opinion on its own. Before you attest, Chiron marks each section of a report as your own writing, drawn from the record or an AI draft, and lets you open the exact PDF that will be filed. A rationale Chiron proposed stays labelled as its proposal until you edit it or explicitly adopt it.
Does Chiron replace my biller?
No. Chiron drafts the charge when the work happens, suggests the codes, prices the charge against the fee schedule, reads an EOR into proposed fields and calculates any late-payment penalty. Your biller confirms the codes, submits, and confirms each payment before it posts. Nothing is submitted or posted without a person.
Does Chiron replace my scribe?
Chiron records the visit once the patient's verbal consent is captured, or takes your dictation in English or Spanish, and drafts the note, the exam tables and the reports from it. The physician reviews, edits and signs everything. If part of a recording fails to transcribe, Chiron says so rather than inventing text.
What if Chiron is wrong?
You will usually be able to tell, because Chiron shows its work. Its statements cite the record or guideline they rest on, and each citation opens its source beside the answer. Every result says how many of the case's records it was built from, and Chiron abstains rather than guesses when the record does not support an answer. Its suggestions never enter the record until someone accepts them, and drug interaction flags are Chiron-flagged, not a validated interaction check. If something looks wrong, use Report a problem on that screen.
Is my data used to train the AI?
No. As published on the ChironAI Trust Center, "no customer data, no patient data, and no protected health information enters our training pipeline." The reasoner behind Chiron is fine-tuned on Eve-Genesis™ (Clinical Edition), which is "100% synthetic by construction." Trust Center: Data handling →
Where is our data stored?
ChironAI OM runs on Microsoft Azure, and stored data stays in the United States, including backups. As the Trust Center explains, an individual AI request may be processed in another Azure region, so data at rest stays in the United States while the processing of a request may take place outside it. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and each clinic's records are separated at the database itself. Trust Center: Data handling →
Is ChironAI HIPAA compliant?
ChironAI's controls are HIPAA-aligned, and a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is available for institutional customers. Inside OM, your administrator keeps a searchable log of every read and change of protected health information, and registers for patient rights requests, breach incidents and business associate subcontractors. Trust Center: Compliance →
Are you SOC 2 certified?
Not yet. ChironAI has SOC 2 audit-ready controls, and a formal audit pathway evaluation is underway. Trust Center: Security →
Who on my team can see what?
Each role, whether physician, coordinator, front desk, billing staff or administrator, sees only what its work needs; billing staff, for example, can correct claim details without seeing diagnoses. The primary treating physician controls who else may open an individual case. Where something is outside your access, OM shows that it is withheld rather than hiding that it exists. Trust Center: Security →
Can we turn the AI features off?
Every AI suggestion is a draft, and nothing Chiron suggests takes effect until someone on your team adopts it, so you can always decline what it offers. PM&R tools are on by default, and your administrator can switch them off for the clinic under Settings → Practice. If you want a particular capability handled differently in your practice, raise it with MindHYVE.
Does it work for personal injury?
Yes. Chiron drafts the narrative medical report the patient's attorney asks for, with your causation opinion exactly as you determined it, and never addresses fault, negligence or damages. You set your own fee schedule for personal-injury work, and OM keeps a running lien balance, produces a lien statement and builds Bates-numbered records productions. Workers'-compensation-only tools stay out of the way on a personal-injury case.
Does it work for PM&R?
Yes. PM&R clinics get procedure notes and charges, a neuromuscular exam template, an exam summary against the AMA Guides normals, outcome questionnaires, therapy visit counts against the statutory cap, opioid-safety reminders, a denial-risk check before you send a request, and DME orders checked against the regulations.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. The whole console works on a phone between patients, with the menu as a drawer and Help as a full-height sheet. Patients and injured workers complete their intake and questionnaire links on their own phones.
Does it work in Spanish?
Several parts do. You can dictate in English or Spanish; patients can complete their intake, and injured workers their QME questionnaire, in English or Spanish; and Chiron drafts a plain-language summary of the Doctor's First Report in either language.
What happens to our data if we leave?
Your administrator can produce a complete export of your clinic's records from BAA Registers, with a manifest of exactly what it contains, and download each file; Chiron will not treat an incomplete export as a full copy. How long records are retained, and what happens to them at the end of an engagement, is set out in your agreement with MindHYVE. Trust Center: Data handling →
How do we get help?
Open Help on any screen: it explains what that screen is for, shows the articles for it, and lets you ask Chiron a "how do I…" question. Guided tours for your role run at first sign-in and can be replayed. To report something broken, use Report a problem on any screen, or write to support@mindhyve.ai.
