Ordered by what they return: revenue first, then errors avoided, then time saved.
Eligibility under Labor Code §3600
Chiron runs the industrial-injury eligibility determination: predesignation, Medical Provider Network lookup and pathway guidance. It keeps every version, shows when a determination is stale, and lets staff escalate a case to an administrator.
Claim denials and the §4060 cascade
Record a carrier's denial of a claim. If it is a compensability denial, Chiron marks the case as med-legal and opens the Labor Code §4060 QME panel request for you.
Settlement notices logged and read
When a case settles outside your clinic, upload the claims administrator's notice and Chiron reads it to propose the settlement type and effective date for you to confirm, then blocks workers' compensation billing on the claim from that date.
Late and no-show watch
Every five minutes Chiron flags appointments past their slot as late or a probable no-show. When you mark a no-show, Chiron drafts the ML200 missed-appointment charge where it applies.
Good-cause summary for a panel
When a panel QME is replaced or cannot be scheduled in time, Chiron produces a summary of the panel's history and scheduling effort against the five Vázquez good-cause factors, built only from what was recorded.
Replacement risk alert
If a panel's scheduling window is exceeded after handoff to the evaluator, Chiron alerts you with the five Vázquez factors that bear on whether the evaluator can be replaced.
Post-closure blocks and exceptions
Chiron shows when a closed case is blocked from further clinical work or billing, why and from what date, and lets a coordinator record a documented exception where one applies.
Missed-appointment and testimony charges
The charges your scheduling actions trigger are drafted for your billers automatically.
Register patients and open cases
Register a patient and open a workers' compensation or personal-injury case at check-in. Chiron requires the mechanism of injury, accepts body parts and ICD-10 codes, and runs a setup checklist that shows what is still missing on the case.
Access shown before you act
On any case screen Chiron tells you up front when you have no access or read-only access and gives you the next step: manage access if you are an administrator, or a ready-written request to the case owner with no patient details, naming the administrators who can grant it.
Facts from the patient's intake
Chiron suggests case facts from the patient's intake, such as employer or date of injury, for staff to accept one at a time, never replacing a value the case already holds; "Not sure" answers go on a to-confirm list.
MPN directory kept current
Every week Chiron copies the State of California's public Medical Provider Network list into your clinic's records, so the carrier and network you pick at intake are current. Employer-to-carrier mappings and carrier search are built in.
