ChironAI™ OM · scenario 6 of 7

A personal-injury case, from intake to lien

Scenario A fictional case, shown on the synthetic demo clinic.

The scenario

A patient arrives after a rear-end collision with neck and shoulder pain, referred by her attorney. At the front desk, staff register her and open a personal-injury case. Chiron requires the mechanism of injury and runs its setup checklist. The attorney's office uses a secure upload link to send the emergency-department records and the imaging, and Chiron reads each document, keeping page references, before the first visit.

The physician records the visit after the patient gives verbal consent. Chiron has already written a records review with every entry tied to its source page, and it drafts the history and fills the exam tables. On the causation screen, Chiron labels the medical causation question a personal-injury case calls for and convenes a Round Table with clinical, treatment-reasonableness, lien and defense-perspective seats, each kept to a medical or billing opinion. The physician reaches her own causation opinion and adopts it.

Each visit is charged from the practice's own personal-injury fee schedule, and Chiron keeps a running lien balance on the case. Months later the attorney asks for a narrative report. Chiron drafts it from the chart (history, treatment to date, the physician's causation opinion exactly as she determined it, current status and prognosis), cites every fact, lists what is missing rather than guessing, and does not address fault, negligence or damages. The physician edits and signs it. Staff send a Bates-numbered, attested records production through a one-time link, and a lien statement PDF goes to the attorney.

When the case settles, staff record the outcome and the settlement amount, and Chiron ties the amount to the lien balance so the two never disagree. The case closes with the longer retention minimum that applies to personal-injury records.
